What is the difference between "standard of living" and "quality of life"?

How to compare two different countries it  is difficult for me ? Because when I was living China . I did not have a lot of contact to society . But also I can really feeling the difference from just a little piece . That make me felt same surprised but pleasantly . It was about the birds. In here ,the birds didn't afraid the human . It was really surprised me ? And I wonder why? Because in China ,the birds are very fear and just aloof the people. Because people would catch up the birds for dally as a toy or even for as BBQ, it just not one will feels surprised for that behavior in China. Is the Chinese people are ruthless？of cause not , I do think that because we just stand in the different level of society developing but in the same timeline. Just as Americans invented the Thanksgiving  after killed millions of Native American . Just as when if the birds and human can be going close and the people to people would do better. Even China's economy developing fastest in the world , but there  still have a great distant to China to create a harmonious society as American .

 It's the same message. even the Tom got rich in the end, but i don't think that Maugham was trying to told us that the money is the only way to judgement people's life succeeful or fall. or the life shold as hard as George pay all in work, it may just like overload to life. life should be blance between live to work or work to live! because the life is too much drama.

3. the betrayed. the friendship does not like family or lover, which has blood relationship. the loyalty is the only way make they come together.

how to explain the ended of Esther's happiness? it depend on many factor. when we observe the character in essay, it can just very easily to find out the weakness of these people. first , the father Paul ,he should be the chief culprit. he imposes these prejudices on Laurence, convincing him not to marry Esther without a thought to how Esther might feel. Father Paul doesn't even regard her as a person, much less a woman with thoughts and feelings and intelligence. he is hypocrisy, how ironic that he teaches love and acceptance on one hand and yes does not practice what he preaches. the religion for him, just to make up himself how a high class peoples . Laurence is a coward . his love to Esther is false. in deep the heart they treat Esther as an inferior race. the religion belief  for these people just like a false face to cover their dirty soul. and Esther just an innocent and pure person contaminated by these impure hypocrite.

How accurate is the author's description of my birth order?

  the personality ,it is difficult to descries as a person  in a group of peer. special about how to develop the difference between sibling in the family .because it would be depend on the environment of that family . 

         

           the author said that "oldest tends tends to develop self concept ".  it might be suit to most of the oldest, but not to me. be self concept show that person will more persistent and truest own sense. but neither for me. the first , i'm not a persistent one. "persistent" can be positive word and negative word.the positive side help to overcome the barrier, the negative side tell us that who is persistent which mean he is hard to accept others advice what is difference from him. a stubborn character. i don't like that, it's easy to make the conflict to others. but , it does not mean that i'm a gentle person, i just some unconcern.  and other expression is more truest own sense,but actually most time  i only trust my sense firmly when i was going to buying a lottery . regretful ,not one got right.

           

     i'm absolute no the one who is self concept. but, it also didn't prove the standpoint of author is wrong . just not be appropriate for all the people in this group.

a distance to family

          My father came to US just after I was birth. Before I came to here New York city from China, I had not talk with my father in phone even once over 16 years. Actually , I just didn't want to take a conversitation with him , no reason just because I felt it was no necessary. and I was rising up by my grandparent .even my mother was living in the same city  a few mile away, I just had saw her in few time over 16 years, no reason just because I felt it just no necessary too.   for the rest about my younger sister , I just didn't even knew what was she look like before we came to US.   may be i just so zealless in my personality that made me feel  it wasn't  so wired in a regulated family.  even i'm the oldest ,but i was growing in only child environment .
